Job summary

HSBC Innovation Banking in London seeks a senior leader to Head the Transactional Credit Team, delivering client limit requests with strong risk controls and overseeing the Associate Development Programme. This role collaborates with Relationship Management, Debt Finance and Credit Risk to ensure timely, compliant execution across client transactions.

Qualifications

• Experience in credit underwriting and portfolio management in a commercial banking environment.
• Ability to coach and develop staff and manage stakeholders across multiple functions.
• Strong communication skills, written and verbal, with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small team of Transactional Credit Team (TCT) colleagues and ensure capacity to meet service expectations.
• Ensure TCT executes client limit and transactional credit requests in line with policy and documentation standards.
• Maintain strong risk discipline and ensure appropriate controls are embedded and applied.
• Partner with Relationship Management, Debt Finance and Credit Risk to align on priorities and approvals for end-to-end execution.
• Oversee Associate Development Programme (ADP), including planning, onboarding, and cohort rotations to build a diverse talent pipeline.
