Job summary

GSK in the United Kingdom seeks an experienced architecture leader to design and assure end-to-end solutions across SaaS, PaaS and IaaS on Azure and/or GCP. You will drive reliability, security and observability from design through delivery, working with diverse business domains.

You will run architecture reviews, balance risk and cost, and guide cross-functional teams with a focus on modern engineering practices, governance and AI-enabled patterns.

Qualifications

• Degree in technology or engineering discipline or equivalent practical experience.
• Demonstrated experience in technology architecture or senior engineering, including solution design for major initiatives.
• Breadth across multiple technology domains to design end-to-end solutions.

Responsibilities

• Produce solution designs for major DPTF and Digital & Tech initiatives.
• Design for reliability, resilience and observability.
• Propose AI-enabled designs where AI adds real value.
• Provide design assurance and architecture reviews.
• Balance business outcomes, cost, risk and fit in every design.
• Ensure end-to-end coherence across platform domains.
• Assure supplier or managed-service designs to internal standards.
• Uphold architecture standards and governance across teams.
• Ensure security and compliance requirements (GxP where applicable).
• Engage early to reduce rework and demonstrate architectural risk awareness.
• Collaborate with Platform/Enterprise Architects and engineering teams.
