Job summary

Sky is seeking a visionary Solution Architect within Sky Data UK to lead the design and optimization of data systems using Google Cloud Platform and cloud-agnostic technologies. The role emphasizes scalable, secure, cost-effective solutions and strong collaboration with business and engineering teams.

The position offers a hybrid working pattern with two days in the office per week at Livingston or Osterley, and opportunities to shape AI-enabled data strategies across Sky Business and Regulatory

Qualifications

• Experience designing resilient, scalable data pipelines on cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance practices.
• Ability to translate business needs into robust data solutions.

Responsibilities

• Own architecture and design of scalable, secure data solutions using GCP and cloud-agnostic tech.
• Create architecture artefacts (HLDs) and collaborate with engineering and business teams.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and conduct PoCs to enhance data capabilities.
• Translate complex business requirements into data solutions delivering measurable value.
• Optimize data storage and processing for performance and cost.
