Job summary

Northumbria Healthcare NHS FT is seeking a Digital Services Apprentice to support existing PC equipment and software, and assist in the deployment of new hardware and software across the Trust.

The role is an integrated work-based apprenticeship designed to provide knowledge and competencies leading to a nationally accredited qualification and future career progression within the NHS.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship Education Programme integrated work based training and development programme.
• Nationally accredited apprenticeship qualification and possible future career progression.
• Excellent springboard to NHS career while gaining knowledge and competencies leading to a national apprenticeship qualification.

Responsibilities

• Assist in providing support for all IT Services, software and mobile devices across the Trust including installation of PC hardware, software and peripheral devices.
• Investigate routine enquiries and staff queries, providing assistance and advice as required.
• Order, install and configure new IT equipment and services.
• Maintain documentation as appropriate to the role.
• Ensure new equipment and services are installed and configured in line with Trust standards and service levels.
• Troubleshoot and resolve basic Service Desk calls in a timely manner and per Trust standards.
• Follow Trust IM&T Security Policy at all times and ensure all systems comply.
• Attend staff training and team/department meetings.
