Job summary

Perfect Placement UK Ltd in Torquay, Devon, is seeking a Diagnostic Vehicle Technician for a main dealership. You will diagnose, service, and repair vehicles using advanced diagnostic tools in a modern workshop, delivering outstanding customer service.

The role offers a competitive salary up to £40,000 with an uncapped OTE around £48,000 with bonus. You will work a flexible Monday to Friday pattern with Saturday mornings on a rotation, and have access to ongoing training including hybrid and EV

Qualifications

• Relevant Vehicle Technician certification, such as Master Technician or Diagnostic certification, preferred but not essential.
• Proven experience in automotive diagnostics and repairs.
• Strong knowledge of modern vehicle systems including hybrid, electric, and safety features.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Leadership qualities and willingness to support team development.
• Valid UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, electrical, and electronic vehicle issues using advanced diagnostic equipment.
• Perform routine servicing and maintenance in line with manufacturer standards.
• Stay current with developments in automotive technology, including hybrid and electric vehicle systems.
• Provide clear explanations of repair requirements and estimates to customers.
• Uphold high standards of quality and safety in all work undertaken.
• Mentor and support junior technicians, fostering a collaborative team environment.
