Job summary

Hawk Hiring LTD in Gloucester is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join our growing workshop team. You will perform routine servicing, braking overhauls, and diagnostics using up-to-date software, collaborating with Senior Technicians on complex repairs.

The ideal candidate will have NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair, a strong understanding of diagnostics and maintenance, and a Full UK driving licence with their own tools.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or City & Guilds / equivalent).
• Solid foundational knowledge of vehicle diagnostics, routine maintenance, and mechanical repair.
• DVSA MOT Smart Card or F-Gas certification is advantageous, but not essential.
• Full UK driving licence & own hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing and inspections on a range of vehicles.
• Perform braking overhauls, steering and suspension work.
• Diagnostic fault-finding using up-to-date multi-brand software.
• Work alongside Senior Technicians on high-level diagnostic repair work.

• Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 basic per annum (tailored directly to your experience and qualification level)
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (STRICTLY NO WEEKENDS—enjoy your Saturdays & Sundays in full!)

Requirements

• NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or City & Guilds / equivalent) with 18+ months hands-on experience (time-served technicians with strong technical capability strongly encouraged to apply)
• Solid foundational knowledge of vehicle diagnostics, routine maintenance, and mechanical repair
• Valid DVSA MOT Smart Card or F-Gas certification is advantageous, but not essential
• Full UK driving licence & own hand tools
