Job summary

Sandown Guildford is seeking an experienced Diagnostic Technician with dealership background to join our workshop team in the UK. You will systematically diagnose faults, monitor repair progress, perform final checks and, when needed, hand the vehicle back to the customer.

You will support colleagues in fault diagnosis, document results and share technical updates with the team to maintain quality and efficiency. A main dealer background is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Certification in Automotive Vehicle Servicing & Repair.
• Experience working for an automotive retailer, preferably within a main dealer.
• High level of attention to detail.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Good level of communication.

Responsibilities

• Systematically carrying out complex fault diagnosis, monitoring the repair process, carrying out final checks and, if required, handing over the vehicle to the customer.

As a qualified Technician, you will be responsible for performing a variety of service operations, defined assembly operations and maintenance repairs with the highest level of quality and efficiency. You will promote the brand image through reliable and cost-efficient work.

The successful applicant will have considerable experience and will have spent the majority of this time working for a main dealer.

Essential Skills Required

• Level 3 Certification in Automotive Vehicle Servicing & Repair
• Experience of working for an automotive retailer, preferably within main dealer
• High level of attention to detail
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Good level of communication

Hours of work

Monday Friday 08:00 17:30 (30-minute unpaid lunch break and two x 15-minute unpaid tea breaks)

42.5hours per week

Saturday 08.00 12.00 working on a rota basis will also be a requirement of the role paid as extra hours.

Applicants must hold a full Driving Licence.
