Qualifications

• Proven franchise dealership/authorised workshop experience.
• Strong fault diagnosis skills and MOT Tester qualification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform standard vehicle services and complex repairs per manufacturer specs.
• Diagnose faults using advanced diagnostic equipment.
• Explain work required to customers and ensure satisfaction.
• Mentor less experienced colleagues in the workshop.

• Conduct standard vehicle services and carry out complex repairs in accordance with manufacturer technical specifications
• Diagnose faults accurately using advanced diagnostic equipment
• Communicate effectively with customers, explaining work required and ensuring satisfaction
• Support and mentor less experienced colleagues as aDiagnostic Vehicle Technician
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment
• Attend technical training sessions to stay current with industry developments

Requirements of a Diagnostic Vehicle Technician

• Accreditation with City & Guilds, BTEC, or NVQ in automotive repair or diagnostic technology
• Proven experience working within a franchise dealership or authorised workshop
• Strong fault diagnosis skills with relevant MOT Tester qualification
• Ability to work efficiently within a team and meet deadlines
• A committed approach to delivering high-quality customer service
