Job summary

Pybus Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Diagnostic Technician to join a busy aftersales team in Walton-on-Thames. You will diagnose and repair complex vehicle faults using the latest manufacturer technology in a modern workshop.

The role requires strong diagnostic experience, fault-finding skills, and a full UK driving licence. You will work 45 hours per week Mon–Fri with Saturday mornings on rota, focusing on quality workmanship and customer service.

Qualifications

  • Level 3 qualification (Level 2 may be considered with relevant experience).
  • Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician with strong diagnostic capabilities.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Experience with vehicle coding and software updates.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, and electronic vehicle faults.
  • Use manufacturer-approved diagnostic equipment and technical systems.
  • Carry out repairs, component replacements, coding, programming, and software updates.
  • Conduct vehicle inspections and identify additional faults or safety concerns.
  • Complete accurate diagnostic reports and repair documentation.
  • Follow manufacturer guidelines, workshop procedures, and health and safety regulations.
  • Work collaboratively with Service Advisors, Workshop Controllers, and fellow Technicians.
  • Maintain exceptional standards of workmanship and customer service.
  • Keep up to date with evolving vehicle technologies through ongoing training and development.

Job: Diagnostic Technician

Location: Walton-on-Thames, KT12

Hours: 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday, plus Saturday mornings on a rota basis

Our client is seeking an experienced and motivated Diagnostic Technician to join their busy and professional aftersales team in Walton-on-Thames.
