Hawk Hiring LTD in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic for our growing independent workshop. You will perform routine servicing, mechanical repairs, welding, MOT-related work, and detailed diagnostics on customer vehicles to high industry standards.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair with workshop experience.
• Solid knowledge of diagnostics, routine maintenance and mechanical repair.
• DVSA MOT Smart Card or related certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing and general mechanical repairs to vehicles.
• Welding and MOT-related work as part of the service offering.
• Diagnose faults using modern diagnostic tooling and resolve efficiently.

Pay & Benefits

• Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 basic per annum (tailored directly to your hands‑on experience and technical skill level)
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 6:00 PM, plus a short Saturday morning shift (8:30 AM – 12:30 PM) on a comfortable 1-in-2 rotation

Role Overview

Seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic to join our growing independent workshop team. You will carry out routine servicing, general mechanical repairs, welding, MOT‑related work, and systematic diagnostic fault‑finding using modern equipment across customer vehicles to high industry standards.

Requirements

• NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or City & Guilds / time‑served equivalent) with a proven track record in a professional workshop setting
• Solid foundational knowledge of vehicle diagnostics, routine maintenance, and mechanical repair
• Valid DVSA MOT Smart Card or F‑Gas certification is advantageous, but not essential
• Full UK driving licence & own hand tools

• Base: Surrey (Free secure on‑site staff parking)
• Road Links: Strategic position directly served by key arterial routes including the M25, M3, and A318 corridors, offering fast daily commutes across Surrey and surrounding areas
