Job summary

Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking HCPC registered Biomedical Scientists to join the Microbiology/Serology Department at Stoke Mandeville Hospital, Aylesbury. The role involves a seven-day rota, cross-training across sections, and contributing to a high-quality diagnostic service for hospital inpatients and the community.

Successful applicants will work in a modern laboratory with advanced analysers and be supported in training and development.

Qualifications

• HCPC registered Biomedical Scientist with post-registration microbiology experience.
• Experience in a busy diagnostic microbiology/serology laboratory.
• Willing to rotate across sections and work seven-day rota.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Rotate through microbiology and serology sections.
• Contribute to meeting quality standards and accreditation.
• Participate in training and development of staff.
