Qualifications

• Registered HCPC Biomedical Scientist with NHS laboratory experience desirable.
• Experience with routine microbiology and on-call duties.
• Willingness to work 37.5 hours with shift pattern 8am–8pm, weekends and Bank Holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform a range of laboratory tests autonomously and understand the scientific basis for tests.
• Be able to work on a shift rota, covering 24 hours, seven days a week.
• Participate in the on-call rota and communicate using IT systems.
• Direct junior staff regarding technical and work issues and advise on results.
