Job summary

PULSE HEALTHCARE is seeking a Band 6 Locum Biomedical Scientist with a microbiology specialty in Buckinghamshire. This ongoing, full-time role requires core hours and HCPC registration.

You will perform culture, identification and sensitivity testing of clinical specimens, contributing to a busy laboratory service. The successful candidate will have a Biomedical Science degree, HCPC registration, NHS experience preferred, and strong analytical and teamwork skills to thrive in a clinical lab

Qualifications

• HCPC registration.
• Degree in Biomedical Science or equivalent.
• Experience in Microbiology within a clinical laboratory.
• Experience with culture and sensitivity testing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• NHS experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• You will perform culture, identification, and sensitivity testing of clinical specimens.
• You will detect bacterial infections using manual and automated techniques.
