Job summary

NatWest Group in Edinburgh is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join the Network Automation team. You will design, build and operate automation that speeds and secures network and infrastructure services in a highly regulated financial services environment.

In this role you will implement CI/CD pipelines, apply IaC and network-as-code, embed security controls, and work with OpenShift or Kubernetes. You will also explore AI-enabled tooling to improve reliability and engineering productivity.

Qualifications

Hands-on engineering experience in DevOps and network automation.
Strong automation mindset and experience with enterprise networking.
Experience in regulated financial services environments is a plus.
Proficiency with scripting in Python and Shell for automation workflows.

Responsibilities

Design, build and operate automation capabilities for network and infrastructure services.
Develop and enhance CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, Jenkins or Azure DevOps.
Apply IaC and network-as-code principles to delivery patterns.
Embed security, compliance and risk controls into automation.
Work with OpenShift or Kubernetes to support automation workloads.
Explore AI-enabled tooling to improve operational efficiency.
