Job summary

NatWest Group in London is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join the Network Automation team, designing, building and operating automation that makes network and infrastructure services faster, safer and more reliable.

You will work across automation, IaC and network-as-code, supporting secure, auditable change in a highly regulated financial services environment, embracing AI-enabled tooling and modern platforms like OpenShift or Kubernetes.

Qualifications

Hands-on DevOps engineering experience in network automation within regulated environments.
Strong automation mindset and solid understanding of enterprise networking.
Experience using AI-enabled tooling to improve engineering outcomes.
Scripting in Python and Shell for automation workflows and integrations, with hands-on Ansible experience.

Responsibilities

Design, build and maintain network and infrastructure automation using modern DevOps practices.
Deliver automation through code-based CI/CD pipelines with GitLab/Jenkins/Azure DevOps.
Apply infrastructure-as-code and network-as-code principles to create repeatable, auditable delivery patterns.
Embed security, compliance and risk controls into automation and pipeline design.
Support automated change, incident and operational workflows, including ServiceNow integration; work with OpenShift or Kubernetes for deployment and workloads.
