Job summary
NatWest Group is seeking a DevOps Engineer for Network Automation to design, build and operate automation capabilities in a regulated financial services environment. You’ll work across automation, IaC and network-as-code practices to deliver secure, auditable change and improve reliability.
You’ll develop patterns and pipelines, collaborate with platform teams, and embed security and compliance into automation.
Qualifications
- Hands-on DevOps experience in automation and infrastructure-as-code.
- Strong scripting skills in Python and Shell for automation workflows.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and container platforms (OpenShift/Kubernetes).
- Exposure to security, compliance and audit considerations in regulated environments.
Responsibilities
- Design, build and operate automation patterns, pipelines and tools.
- Support network and infrastructure services from concept to operation.
- Deliver automation through code-based CI/CD pipelines using GitLab or similar.
- Embed IaC and network-as-code principles for repeatable delivery.
- Incorporate security, compliance and risk controls into pipelines.
- Work with OpenShift/Kubernetes to deploy and manage automation workloads.
