Job Description

Technical Skills

  • Strong hands-on experience with CI/CD tools: Git, TeamCity and Octopus Deploy (on-premises).
  • Proficient in PowerShell scripting for automation, deployment tasks and server configuration.
  • Comfortable working across both Windows and Linux server environments.
  • Skilled in using Git for version control - cloning repositories, managing branches and handling repository migrations.
  • Experience managing TeamCity - creating pipelines, setting permissions and upgrading the system.
  • Confident in using Octopus Deploy - cloning projects, configuring deployment targets, updating deployment pipelines and managing SSL certificate renewals.
  • Familiar with server migration processes, including DNS updates, access configuration and system decommissioning.
  • Working knowledge of Azure and basic understanding of AWS.
  • Competent in SQL for basic querying and support of database-driven applications.

Soft Skills & Domain Knowledge

  • Excellent communication and documentation skills - ability to clearly explain infrastructure workflows and technical changes.
  • Collaborative approach to working across multiple teams such as service management, infrastructure, Networks and DBA.
  • Ability to quickly grasp new knowledge and skills with some exposure to legacy application architecture and development workflows
  • Understanding of public sector, particularly in relation to project delivery timelines, procurement processes and compliance.
  • Able to work independently and take ownership of migration and deployment tasks.
