Job summary

Mattinson Partnership is seeking an Assistant Planner / Planner to join a growing planning and development consultancy in London. The role combines planning expertise with commercial awareness, offering progression within the property and development sector.

You will work on diverse high-profile projects, gaining exposure across the development lifecycle and collaborating with clients, consultants and multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in planning, property or development.
• Experience working on retail and/or office-led projects.
• Solid understanding of the planning and development process.
• Strong commercial awareness and interest in property, development and investment.
• Excellent communication, client management and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Proactive, solutions-focused approach with the ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Work on a diverse range of high-profile and complex development projects.
• Gain exposure across the development lifecycle and work closely with clients, consultants and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Develop technical planning knowledge while strengthening commercial and client-facing skills.
• Help clients understand what can be developed, how value can be maximised and what is deliverable.
