Job summary

Mattinson Partnership is seeking a Director/Senior Director in Planning & Development for London or Manchester to lead a growing team and drive strategic client work in the planning sector.

This senior role requires a Chartered planner (MRTPI/MRICS Planning & Development), 10+ years post-qualification, strong knowledge of the UK planning system, and proven business development capability.

Qualifications

• MRTPI or MRICS Planning & Development membership is required.
• 10+ years' post-qualified experience in planning.
• Strong knowledge of the UK planning system and development process.
• Established client base with proven business development.
• Strong commercial, communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ambition to grow a successful planning business.

Responsibilities

• Developing and managing key client relationships.
• Winning new instructions and growing the client portfolio.
• Advising on major planning and development projects.
• Working across residential, commercial, rural, renewables and healthcare sectors.
• Providing senior leadership and mentoring within the planning team.
• Helping shape and grow the wider Planning & Development offering.
