Job summary

Mattinson Partnership is working with a leading multidisciplinary consultancy to recruit an Associate Town Planner for its Birmingham team. You will lead planning workstreams across major infrastructure and development projects for public and private sector clients in transport, energy, water, housing and regeneration.

You will manage projects from strategy through delivery, provide expert advice on planning policy, consenting and EIA, and contribute to bids, client development while mentoring

Qualifications

• A relevant planning degree is required.
• RTPI membership is desirable.
• Experience in planning consultancy, infrastructure or development.
• Experience with EIA, planning policy and consenting.
• Excellent project management and communication skills.
• Commercial awareness with work winning and client development.
• Ability to lead projects and influence multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning workstreams across major projects.
• Manage projects from strategy through to delivery.
• Provide expert advice on planning policy, consenting and strategic planning.
• Deliver and support TCPA, DCO, TWAO and EIA projects.
• Contribute to bids, tenders and business development.
• Develop strong client relationships and identify new opportunities.
• Mentor junior colleagues within a collaborative multidisciplinary environment.
