Job summary

Blackmount Recruitment Ltd represents a privately owned property and hospitality developer seeking a Development Manager / Developer Surveyor in Harrow. You will lead development appraisals, manage design alongside architects and consultants, and oversee planning, budgets, and progress across multiple schemes.

Qualifications

• Experience in development management and developer surveying across residential and hotel schemes.
• Strong understanding of the development lifecycle from feasibility through to completion.
• Proven ability to manage planning, appraisals, and development finance.
• Experience coordinating consultants and managing budgets and cashflow.
• Commercially aware, organised and proactive in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and stakeholder management skills.
• Willingness to travel across London, the M25 corridor and beyond.
• Knowledge of building regulations and CDM is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Preparing development appraisals and supporting land/site acquisitions.
• Managing design development alongside architects, consultants and construction teams.
• Overseeing planning applications, discharge of conditions, Section 106 matters and appeals.
• Managing development budgets, cashflow forecasts and project performance.
• Coordinating utilities, Building Regulations, CDM and wider statutory requirements.
• Monitoring site progress through regular visits and reporting across multiple schemes.
• Supporting residential sales and marketing activity, alongside hotel brand, FF&E and compliance requirements.
• Working closely with internal stakeholders and external consultants to drive quality, programme and commercial outcomes.
