Job summary

Goodman Masson in London is seeking an experienced Development Manager to lead a housing development programme across London. The role focuses on delivering complex residential schemes from inception to completion with a hybrid work model.

The ideal candidate will have proven delivery experience of residential projects, strong commercial awareness, and robust stakeholder engagement capabilities to benefit local communities and delivery partners.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering residential new builds, incl. estate regeneration.
• Strong PM skills across planning, procurement, construction and handover.
• Excellent budgeting, cashflow forecasting and development viability.
• Knowledge of JCT contracts and construction law.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication.

Responsibilities

• Leading complex new build housing projects to successful delivery on time, within budget and to high quality standards.
• Managing consultants, contractors and multidisciplinary project teams throughout the development lifecycle.
• Overseeing procurement, contract management, financial control and risk management.
• Preparing development appraisals, feasibility studies.

I'm currently recruiting for an experienced Development Manager to join an ambitious development team delivering a diverse programme of new homes across London.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated project professional with a proven track record of delivering complex residential developments, including estate regeneration, mixed-tenure and mixed-use schemes, from inception through to completion.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading complex new build housing projects to successful delivery on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
• Managing consultants, contractors and multidisciplinary project teams throughout the development lifecycle.
• Overseeing procurement, contract management, financial control and risk management.
• Preparing development appraisals, feasibility studies.
• Managing stakeholder relationships, including residents, local authorities and internal teams.
• Ensuring compliance with planning requirements, Building Regulations, Health & Safety legislation and governance processes.

We're looking for someone with:
