How You'll Make an Impact

• Actively seek and respond to all new business opportunities, consistently exceeding your targets.
• Focus on the needs of customers, offering a broad range of services and products with opportunities to upsell.
• Generate new business by identifying, building, nurturing and maintaining relationships with prospects, including continued relationship management of clients resulting in year-on-year income generation against targets.
• Attend trade-related events such as dinners, AGMs, trade shows, and expos, using your networking skills to identify and seize new opportunities.
• Negotiate effectively with underwriters and insurers to secure the most appropriate terms for clients.
• Represent the business with professionalism and integrity, building trust and enhancing its reputation in the market.

About You

• Proven track record in business development and sales within the insurance industry, with experience delivering against targets in a regulated environment.
• Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to independently generate leads and build pipelines.
• Strong focus on client needs, dedicated to providing the best possible service and outcomes.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships.

• Business acumen and sales management experience gained in a commercial setting.
• Good knowledge of the client market and insurance industry network; good understanding of general insurance products, services, and the underlying legal principles and practices relating to risk within own role capacity.
• Eligible to work in the UK and willing to travel as required.
