Job summary

Sterling Pharma Solutions Limited is seeking a Development Chemist to advance new processing in the laboratory and translate it to scalable plant operations. You will contribute to process development, optimisation, and documentation for manufacturing scale.

The role involves hands-on laboratory work, data analysis, and collaboration with other departments to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient scale-up to manufacturing assets, with opportunities for career development in a dynamic CDMO

Responsibilities

• Carry out practical work accurately following defined work plans
• Demonstrate an understanding of the chemical processes under study
• Accurately maintain written laboratory records and review other lab members’ experimental write-ups
• Develop and optimise processes suitable for implementation in plant assets
• Process data and carry out preliminary evaluation
• Approve Process Record Sheets and other plant documentation as required
• Contribute to investigations/trouble-shooting sessions associated with assigned projects
• Provide support and technical advice for processes running on plant
• Liaise with internal departments to ensure smooth running of a project
• Draft documentation required for introducing processes on to plant for review by project team
• Prepare technical memos to support project activities
• Prepare interim and final customer reports for review by manager
• Attend required internal project meetings as a voice of R&D
• Provide clear verbal updates to customers in project calls
• Present project updates to customers during on-site/on-line visits
• Present internally on project-related issues
• No direct responsibility for staff
• Works effectively with others and treats all colleagues with respect and co-operation
• No direct financial responsibility
• Competent with IT systems, particularly Microsoft Office including Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel
