Job summary

Nufarm, a global crop protection and seed technologies company, is seeking a Senior Chemist to lead the creation and optimisation of manufacturing processes and formulations. You will translate laboratory discoveries into production success, driving technology transfer across Europe with a focus on safety and quality.

You will design and execute lab studies, develop process routes for new products, and provide technical leadership to manufacturing sites and tolling partners.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in organic, applied or process chemistry within an R&D environment.
• Proven success in process development and continuous improvement in a chemical manufacturing setting.
• Experience transferring chemical processes from laboratory to manufacturing operations.
• Strong analytical and data interpretation abilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across technical and operational teams.
• Commitment to safety, quality and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimise process routes for new products and technologies.
• Design, conduct and evaluate laboratory studies to support manufacturing processes.
• Invent, develop and characterise performance of formulations and chemistries.
• Support scale-up activities with technical transfer documentation.
• Analyse data and support commissioning of new processes.
• Lead process improvement initiatives for efficiency, yield and safety.
