Tesco is seeking a Security Engineer to join the Detection Engineering team to design and deploy advanced security monitoring across a global retail platform. You will implement scalable detection and prevention solutions, embedding automation and AI to enhance detection accuracy and reduce false positives.

Collaboration with SOC and platform teams will be key to delivering customer-first security outcomes.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with secure SDLC and test-driven development.
• Experience with SIEM/EDR platforms and detection engineering.
• Ability to design production-grade security solutions with scalable detection.
• Ability to reduce noise while maintaining visibility and detection quality.
• Curiosity and commitment to ongoing threat research and learning.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with SOC and platform engineering teams.
