Job summary

Dispatch Administrator role in a busy manufacturing business within the Supply Chain team. You will coordinate shipments with warehouse, transport providers and internal teams to ensure planning, documentation and communication are accurate.

The ideal candidate has admin experience in dispatch, logistics or warehousing, strong IT skills (Outlook/Excel), and the ability to juggle priorities in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

  • Experience in dispatch, logistics, warehousing or customer service preferred.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient IT skills including Outlook and Excel.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems is beneficial.
  • Clear written and verbal communication with the ability to manage priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor daily shipment requirements and process dispatch requests using the ERP system.
  • Produce warehouse picking lists, packing slips and delivery documentation.
  • Communicate dispatch requirements and priorities to the warehouse team.
  • Arrange collections and deliveries with external hauliers.
  • Liaise with transport providers regarding collection times and delays.
  • Keep internal teams updated on shipment progress and potential delays.
  • Respond to changing customer requirements and delivery priorities.
  • Maintain accurate dispatch records and escalate issues when needed.

We are recruiting for a Dispatch Administrator to join a busy manufacturing business and support the smooth coordination of customer deliveries. Working as part of the Supply Chain team, the Dispatch Administrator will liaise with the warehouse, internal teams and external transport providers to ensure shipments are planned, documented and communicated accurately.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied administrative role in a fast-paced environment, with the potential to secure a permanent position.

What will you be doing as a Dispatch Administrator?
  • Monitoring daily shipment requirements and processing dispatch requests using the company ERP system
  • Producing warehouse picking lists, packing slips and delivery documentation
  • Communicating dispatch requirements and priorities to the warehouse team
  • Arranging collections and deliveries with external hauliers
  • Liaising with transport providers regarding collection times, vehicle requirements and any changes or delays
  • Keeping internal teams updated on shipment progress, shortages and potential delays
  • Responding to changing customer requirements and delivery priorities
  • Maintaining accurate dispatch records and escalating any delivery or service issues when needed
We would LOVE to hear from you if you have the following skills and experience:
  • Previous experience in administration, ideally within dispatch, logistics, transport, warehousing or customer service
  • Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Confident IT skills, including Microsoft Outlook and Excel
  • Experience using an ERP system would be beneficial
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to manage competing priorities in a busy environment
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and the confidence to liaise with internal teams and external transport providers
  • Similar job titles you may have worked under include Logistics Administrator, Transport Administrator, Warehouse Administrator, Shipping Administrator or Customer Service Administrator

  • 14.50 per hour
  • Weekly pay
  • A temporary position with the opportunity to become permanent
  • Working hours expected to be 8am-3pm Monday to Thursday and 8am-1pm Friday
