Job summary

Viqu Limited in London is seeking a Desktop Support Engineer with a strong Mac focus to join our client's IT team on an initial 3-month contract starting ASAP.

You will provide day-to-day desktop support to around 150 users in a predominantly Apple environment, handling Mac/macOS issues, provisioning hardware, onboarding and offboarding, and managing tickets with a friendly, professional touch. Occasional Windows support and VIP user assistance may also be required.

• Excellent people skills and a customer‑facing mindset.
• Familiarity with IT ticketing systems and hardware provisioning.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day desktop support to ~150 users.

• Offer face‑to‑face and walk‑up support and maintain documentation.

We are currently looking for a Desktop Support Engineer with a strong Mac focus to join our customer's IT team in London on an initial 3-month contract.

This is a great opportunity for a technically capable Desktop Support Engineer who has a good foundation in IT support, strong Mac experience and, importantly, excellent people skills.

The Role

You will provide day-to-day desktop support to approximately 150 users, acting as a key point of contact for IT support within the London office.

Technical Environment

The customer operates a predominantly Apple environment:

• 90% Mac / 10% Windows
• macOS and Apple hardware
• IT ticketing/service management systems
• User access management
• Hardware provisioning and support

The role will include:

• Providing day-to-day desktop support, with a strong focus on Mac/macOS
• Managing and resolving tickets through the IT ticketing system
• Providing face‑to‑face and walk‑up support
• Managing user access and permissions
• Setting up new users and equipment
• Supporting onboarding and offboarding
• Preparing, configuring and troubleshooting laptops and other hardware
• Dealing with general IT requests and user issues
• Troubleshooting Mac and Windows devices
• Maintaining accurate ticket updates and documentation
• Providing a friendly, professional and responsive service to users
• Supporting senior stakeholders and VIP users when required
