Job summary

Veritas Education is seeking Design Technology teachers to work across multiple secondary schools in East Lancashire. Roles range from day-to-day supply to long-term placements, with opportunities for permanent positions.

Qualified teachers with experience in Product Design, Resistant Materials, Engineering, Graphics, Food Technology or Construction are encouraged to apply. A supportive consultant and CPD opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience teaching Design Technology within a secondary school setting.
• Strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills.
• Enthusiastic and adaptable approach to teaching.
• Commitment to raising student achievement.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and practical Design Technology lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Plan, prepare, and assess student work where required.
• Support students in developing creative, technical, and problem‑solving skills.
• Maintain a safe and effective workshop or classroom environment.
• Foster positive behaviour and a love of learning.
• Contribute to the wider school community where appropriate.
