Job summary

Kier Group in the United Utilities Framework in the North West of England is seeking a Design Manager. You will lead design activities, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and ensure design and build water and wastewater projects meet client requirements and regulatory standards.

The role focuses on delivering timely design information, BIM-enabled workflows, and effective collaboration with consultants, architects, engineers, and project teams, while maintaining alignment with Kier and UU

Qualifications

• Experience leading design management on water and wastewater build projects.
• Strong leadership and ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end design process and timely delivery of design information.
• Coordinate between consultants, architects, engineers and project teams.
• Review and approve design documents for compliance with standards.
• Identify and manage design risks and mitigate delays or cost overruns.
• Lead design review meetings and liaise with clients, contractors and regulators.
