Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Design Management Lead to oversee a multidisciplinary team across the UK and beyond. You will manage the DM function, mentor junior staff, and ensure quality and contractual compliance across projects, including coordination with sub-consultants and design workshops.

You will contribute to business planning, support leadership in BD, and lead projects with a focus on delivering design excellence and value for clients.

Qualifications

• Understanding of the design process.
• Project and design programming skills.
• Experience in development and implementation of design management tools and procedures.
• Commercial awareness of projects.
• Construction knowledge/experience.
• Proficiency in MS Project/Excel/InDesign.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Design Management Team and oversee project delivery.
• Support leadership with business development and performance reviews.
• Mentor junior team members and ensure quality control against contracts.
• Lead DM projects UK and internationally.
• Prepare and manage sub-consultant contracts and cash flow projections.
• Establish and implement design management procedures.
