Job summary

AECOM is seeking a senior Design Management Leader in London to manage the Design Management Team and drive major projects across the UK and internationally. You will mentor staff, oversee sub-consultants, and implement robust design procedures to ensure quality and contractual compliance.

You will collaborate with leadership on business development, planning, and performance review processes, while delivering high standards of design across multi-disciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Understanding of the design process.
• Project and design programming skills.
• Experience in development and implementation of design management tools and procedures.
• Commercial awareness of projects.
• Construction knowledge/experience.
• Proficiency in MS Project/Excel/InDesign.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Design Management Team and support leadership in business development, performance reviews and planning.
• Lead Design Management projects across the UK and internationally.
• Mentor and develop junior Design Management team members through training and reviews.
• Oversee sub-consultants: responsibility matrices, contracts, cash flows and invoicing.
• Establish and implement design management procedures: roles, scope, monitoring and approvals.
• Support the Design Management team leadership and ensure quality/contractual compliance.
