Job summary

AECOM in London seeks a Design Management Lead to steer the UK Design Management team and manage sub-consultants on international projects. You’ll drive design programmes, budgets, quality, and approvals, mentoring junior staff and ensuring contractual compliance across the delivery lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Understanding of the design process.
• Project and design programming skills.
• Experience in development and implementation of design management tools and procedures.
• Commercial awareness of projects.
• Construction knowledge/experience.
• Proficiency in MS Project/Excel/InDesign.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Design Management team and align with leadership.
• Support business development and performance reviews.
• Mentor and develop DM team members.
• Review outputs for quality and contractual compliance.
• Manage sub-consultants, contracts, and cash flow projections.
• Establish DM procedures: roles, programs, budgets, approvals.
• Oversee project meetings and design coordination.
