Job summary

Stantec in the United Kingdom is seeking a Design Manager to lead multidisciplinary teams delivering water sector projects from concept through detailed design. The role offers hybrid working with offices in Brighton or Southampton and opportunities to influence major programmes across the South of England.

You will oversee design, build and owners engineering activities, collaborate with clients and stakeholders, and drive innovation in wastewater, clean water, flood risk, and urban drainage

Qualifications

• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams on major civil projects.
• Chartered engineer preferred; support can be provided to achieve this.
• Experience overseeing design & build, detailed design, and owners engineering services.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of delivery, including design & build projects, detailed design, and owners engineering services, ensuring multidisciplinary collaboration.
• Plan and lead the technical delivery of projects, working closely with clients and guiding the team.
• Collaborate with the Project Manager to deliver best value and service excellence.
• Leverage a global network of experts to provide tools and knowledge for leading‑edge designs.
