Job summary

MK Test Systems is seeking a Design Engineering Manager to lead the Design Engineering function, delivering robust, repeatable design solutions aligned with quality, cost, and on-time delivery targets.

You will manage and develop the team, drive capability development, governance, and knowledge sharing while working closely with Electronics, Embedded, Software, Product, Solutions, Manufacturing, Quality, and Support teams.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Experience in design governance and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Design Engineering team to meet current and future business and project demands.
• Provide effective line management through regular 1:1s, clear objectives, constructive feedback, and measurable performance management.
• Create and maintain development pathways for team members, supporting technical growth and career progression.
• Coach and support early-career engineers and graduates with guidance and review.
• Contribute to recruitment, selection and onboarding to ensure capability and capacity.
