Job summary

IC Resources is seeking a Mechanical Engineering & Test Engineering Manager to lead a small specialist team across mechanical production engineering and test engineering, collaborating with Operations, Design Engineering, Product Management and manufacturing partners.

This hands-on leadership role drives test modernization, production efficiency, NPI support and design transfer, while maintaining strong diagnostic capabilities in a growing OEM environment.

Qualifications

• Strong Mechanical/Manufacturing/Production or Test Engineering background.
• Experience in an OEM, manufacturing or product-based environment.
• Previous technical/team leadership experience.
• Hands-on troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with production testing, test equipment or test rigs.
• Experience working with manufacturing partners or contract manufacturers.
• Practical, proactive approach with the ability to lead projects independently.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a small engineering team across mechanical production and test engineering.
• Troubleshoot production issues, field failures and customer escalations.
• Develop and improve production test methods, rigs and equipment.
• Lead projects to modernise legacy test-bed methodology.
• Improve test cycle times, production efficiency and diagnostic capability.
• Support NPI, design transfer and production readiness.
• Collaborate with manufacturing partners on root cause analysis and corrective actions.
