Job summary

An established engineering organisation in South Yorkshire is seeking a Design Manager / Project Manager to lead a small design team and own the design of a range of complex, bespoke products. You will drive delivery with speed and accuracy while ensuring alignment with manufacturing and product application considerations.

You will oversee a team of engineers, coach and develop talent, and liaise with internal and external stakeholders to capture knowledge and develop SOPs for new systems.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership of design teams in engineering projects.
• Strong communication across all business levels and stakeholders.
• Solid foundation in core design engineering principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small team of design engineers to deliver complex, bespoke products.
• Manage the design of new and existing products to meet market trends.
• Coach and develop a team of engineers to ensure high performance.
• Ensure designs meet tolerances and integrate manufacturing, assembly, and product application considerations.
