Job summary

Mane Contract Services is seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Manager to lead a high-performance engineering team delivering bespoke mechanical systems. You will own product development from concept through testing, ensuring on-time delivery, budget control and compliance with engineering standards.

You will guide the team, manage resources, forecast budgets and collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional partners to deliver robust, innovative designs.

Qualifications

• Qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design or a related discipline.
• Proven experience leading a mechanical design team.
• Strong CAD/CAE/FEA capability and Creo proficiency.
• Experience delivering complex mechanical systems end to end.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of Mechanical Design Engineers with mentoring and support.
• Own the full product development lifecycle from concept to testing and deployment.
• Ensure projects meet schedule, budget and engineering standards.
• Drive technical decisions across multiple projects with robust design solutions.
• Plan resources, forecast budgets and support team development.
• Engage suppliers, manufacturers and cross-functional teams to deliver solutions.
• Provide regular project updates and technical reporting to senior management.
