Job summary

Evera Recruitment Ltd in Oxford is seeking an Engineering Design Manager to lead the Engineering function from concept to production, coordinating across Manufacturing, Purchasing and Quality to deliver high-performing projects.

You will manage resources, develop plans, drive governance and continuous improvement, engage suppliers, and ensure robust design, documentation and process governance to support future growth.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience managing engineering teams and delivering New Product Development (NPD) projects.
• Strong understanding of precision engineering and machining processes.
• Experience with quality assurance systems and continuous improvement activities.
• Knowledge of CAD systems, engineering drawings and PDM systems.
• Experience with project management, resource planning and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
• Strong communication, organisational and stakeholder management skills.

Working across Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing and Quality, you will drive collaboration, manage resources and implement the processes needed to support a high-performing and scalable business.

The Engineering Design Manager will:

• Lead engineering projects from concept through to production release.
• Manage engineering resources, priorities and project delivery.
• Develop and maintain project plans, milestones and risk management activities.
• Drive programme governance and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support supplier engagement and technical reviews.
• Improve engineering processes, documentation and design governance.
