Job summary

ITS is recruiting a Design Coordinator Team Leader to steer the Design Coordination function from intake to handover, ensuring timely, accurate delivery for on-net projects across the UK. You will lead a high-performing team, govern order validation, coordinate survey progression and manage escalations with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience leading or deputising a team in an operational, delivery, provisioning or customer-focused environment.
• Good understanding of telecoms, on-net service delivery or order provisioning processes.
• Ability to manage performance against KPIs, SLAs and service standards.
• Strong planning, problem-solving and escalation management skills.
• Clear communication and ability to build trusted relationships with colleagues, partners and customers.
• Comfort with technical information, operational systems and data for informed decisions.
• Supportive leadership style guiding teams through change and continuous improvement.
• Experience in telecoms infrastructure or similar service delivery environment (Utilities) is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Leading, coaching and supporting the Design Coordination team, setting clear expectations and helping people perform at their best.
• Overseeing order intake and validation, ensuring orders are complete, accurate and technically feasible before progression.
• Managing the regional order book, balancing priorities, capacity, delivery risks and SLA commitments.
• Monitoring team performance, quality and workload, using data to spot risks, resolve issues and improve ways of working.
• Coordinating survey scheduling and progression so customers receive timely, accurate updates.
• Taking ownership of escalated issues, creating clear recovery plans and aligning internal teams, customers, partners and contractors.
• Maintaining accurate order information across Salesforce and operational systems to support confident decision-making.
