On 1 April 2019 Cwm Taf University Health Board changed its name to Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board as it took responsibility for providing healthcare services for the people in the Bridgend County Borough area. Cwm Taf Morgannwg UHB now provides primary, community, hospital, and mental health services to the 450,000 people living in three County Boroughs Bridgend, Merthyr Tydfil, and Rhondda Cynon Taf.
Ideally situated between Waless capital city, Cardiff, to the south, the coastal town of Porthcawl to the west, and the stunning scenery of the Brecon Beacons to the north, we operate within a vibrant community, rich in history and heritage.
Services will continue to be delivered across a network of Community Clinics, Health Centres and Community Hospitals supported by three District General Hospitals, Princess of Wales hospital in Bridgend, Prince Charles hospital in Merthyr Tydfil, and Royal Glamorgan hospital in Llantrisant.

Job Overview
An exciting opportunity for a Deputy Manager in the Cardiac Day Case Unit (CDCU).
The successful candidate will work Monday - Friday and support the Band 7 Manager of Ward 1.
Up to date Cardiology experience is essential, along with experience as working as a Band 5 nurse.
Managerial training will be given along with diagnostic procedures, will be required to work as part of the Pacing Team in Cardiac Theatre.
Welsh Language is not essential and Welsh Language courses offered by CTMUHB are available.

Day to day running of CDCU, full time clinical role with diagnostic investigations, patient reviews, Cardioversion, pre assessments.
The candidate will need to be expert in Cannulation , venepunture and have good communication skills.
Managerial expectations include Health Roster, Datix, Oracle training will be given and MINAP audit - training provided.
The post holder will oversee the Unit diary daily with the Co-ordinator.
