Job summary

Thera East is seeking a Deputy Support Manager to assist the Support Manager in leading teams and delivering person-centered support that meets regulatory and organizational requirements.

You will mentor staff, drive continuous improvement, and design support plans while managing rota, records, and audits. Travel locally to multiple locations is required; a driving licence is essential. Driving licence is essential; DBS checks apply.

Qualifications

  • Relevant Health and Social Care qualification Level 3 or above (England) or SCQF 7 or above (Scotland).
  • Proven experience supporting people with learning disabilities.
  • Leadership or coaching experience is desirable.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding, health and safety, and care regulations.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
  • Confidence in using digital systems (e.g. Excel, care planning software).
  • Flexible working hours, willingness to travel locally and work across multiple locations.

Responsibilities

  • Mentor teams, coach support staff and drive continuous improvement.
  • Work on shift as part of the rota and act as a role model of best practice.
  • Support people to design their support plans and assist with rota management.
  • Maintain records, address concerns and conduct audits.
  • Act as deputy for the Support Manager when needed.

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Full time 39 hours per week

Salary: Up to £31,825.42

Annual Leave entitlement:33 days inclusive of bank holidays

As aDeputy Support Manageryou will mentor teams, coach support staff and drive continuous improvement. You will ensure that practice leadership is developed, recognized and reflected in all we do as you work on shift as part of the working Rota enabling you to act as a role model of best practice. You will support people to design their support plans, assist with Rota management, help maintain records, address concerns, conduct audits, and deputies for the Support Manager when needed. At all times aim to empower individuals,promote inclusion, rights & independence, whilst adhering to policies and acting as an ambassador for the company

Skills & Experience
