Job summary

Starbucks is hiring a Deputy Store Manager in Leeds to partner with the store manager and drive outstanding commercial, operational and people results in a fast‑paced retail environment. You’ll lead the store team on shift, own staffing and training, monitor KPIs and cost control, and ensure every partner delivers the Starbucks experience.

Expect early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays as part of a dynamic schedule.

Qualifications

• Previous experience leading a team in a dynamic retail or hospitality environment.
• Ability to translate metrics into actionable insights.
• Strong leadership with growth mindset.

Responsibilities

• Co-leading the store to achieve financial targets, customer satisfaction scores, and operational excellence.
• Owning business areas such as compliance, labour management or local marketing.
• Leading the store leadership team with clear roles and accountability for results.
• Forecasting staffing needs and participating in recruitment and selection.
• Owning partner training and ensuring training completion.
• Acting as store manager when required with full operational accountability.
• Monitoring KPIs, analyzing trends and implementing action plans.
• Driving cost control and profitability through resource planning and waste management.
• Closing standards and gaps using the store action plan.
• Ensuring brand and operational standards are consistently delivered.
• Maintaining health and safety and food safety compliance.
