Job summary

Starbucks is seeking a Deputy Store Manager to partner with the store manager in leading daily operations and delivering strong commercial results. You will drive customer satisfaction, manage team performance, and ensure compliance with standards across all areas of the store.

You’ll be empowered to forecast staffing, lead training, support recruitment, and take charge in the store manager’s absence, while upholding Starbucks values and delivering a remarkable customer experience.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a team in a dynamic retail or hospitality environment.
• Strong leadership and communication abilities with a customer focus.
• Ability to translate metrics into actions and drive results.

Responsibilities

• Co-lead the store to achieve financial targets, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence.
• Own business areas such as compliance, labour management or local marketing.
• Lead the store leadership team with clear roles and accountability.
• Forecast staffing needs and participate in recruitment and selection.
• Own partner training to ensure team readiness and success.
• Act as store manager when required with full accountability.
• Monitor KPIs, analyze trends and implement action plans.
• Drive cost control and profitability through resource planning and waste management.
• Close standards and opportunity gaps using the store action plan.
• Ensure consistent delivery of brand and operational standards.
• Maintain health & safety, food safety and security compliance.
