Job summary

Aldi is seeking a Deputy Store Manager in the United Kingdom to drive sales, deliver excellent customer service, minimise costs and improve operational efficiency. You will support the Store Manager by training colleagues, checking displays and achieving sales targets.

This role offers real responsibility and is a stepping stone towards a store management role, with a flexible 25-35 hour weekly contract and benefits including pensionable leave and training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience managing teams in fast-paced, customer-focused environments.
• Skilled in time management and cost control.
• Motivated to achieve and exceed targets consistently.
• Strong customer service and compliance skills.
• Previous Store Management experience is a plus but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Running the store in the absence of the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager.
• Deliver excellent customer service that goes beyond expectations.
• Support the Store Manager to boost employee engagement and meet store KPIs.
• Monitor product quality and manage stock rotation consistently.
• Oversee till cashing up and safe deposits.
• Ensure Health & Safety and due diligence standards are maintained.
