Job summary

B&M Retail Limited is seeking a proactive Deputy Store Manager for our Scotland store. You will support the Store Manager, lead shifts, and drive sales while upholding high standards of merchandising and customer service. This hands-on role offers development toward Store Management within a fast-paced retail environment.

You’ll coach colleagues, manage stock and compliance, and help create a positive, customer-focused culture. Weekend and holiday availability is required.

What You'll Be Doing

• Supporting the Store Manager in the day-to-day running of the store.
• Leading by example on the shop floor and creating a positive, customer-focused culture.
• Maintaining high standards of availability, merchandising and store presentation.
• Coaching, motivating and developing colleagues to help them perform at their best.
• Taking responsibility for the store in the Store Manager's absence.
• Supporting stock management, compliance and health & safety processes.

You’ll Also Bring

• Experience in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Previous supervisory, team leader, department manager or deputy manager experience.
• A passion for delivering excellent customer service and operational standards.
• Experience coaching and developing colleagues.
• Confidence managing store processes, compliance and stock control.
• Flexibility to work weekends and bank holidays.
• FMCG or big-box retail experience is desirable but not essential.
