Job summary

B&M Retail is seeking a hands-on Deputy Store Manager in Glasgow to support the Store Manager and drive sales performance. You will lead shifts, coach colleagues and uphold excellent store standards to ensure a great shopping experience.

This role offers progression towards Store Management with extensive training, a clear pathway and opportunities to develop leadership skills in a fast-paced, high-volume retail environment.

What You'll Be Doing

• Supporting the Store Manager in the day-to-day running of the store.


• Leading by example on the shop floor and creating a positive, customer-focused culture.


• Maintaining high standards of availability, merchandising and store presentation.


• Coaching, motivating and developing colleagues to help them perform at their best.


• Taking responsibility for the store in the Store Manager's absence.


• Supporting stock management, compliance and health & safety processes.

• Focus on what matters most, making decisions quickly and adapting to changing business needs.


• Develop and coach colleagues to build confidence, capability and performance.

You'll Also Bring

• Experience in a fast-paced retail environment.


• Previous supervisory, team leader, department manager or deputy manager experience.


• A passion for delivering excellent customer service and operational standards.


• Experience coaching and developing colleagues.


• Confidence managing store processes, compliance and stock control.


• Flexibility to work weekends and bank holidays.


• FMCG or big-box retail experience is desirable but not essential.
