Job summary

Transforming Support is seeking a Deputy Service Manager to lead a large supported living service in Chipstead. You will supervise staff, coordinate daily operations and ensure person-centred, recovery-focused support for adults with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs.

Join a dedicated team, work with the Registered Manager, participate in on-call rotations, and help develop services that reflect local needs. This is a full-time, permanent role with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

Experience managing or supervising a team.
Experience supporting adults with autism or learning disabilities.
Strong communication and decision making skills.
Commitment to person-centred support and independence.
Ability to balance priorities with service development.

Responsibilities

Support the Registered Manager with daily service operations and staff management.
Guide, support and motivate colleagues to deliver high standards.
Provide visible leadership within a busy supported living service.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and external partners.
Promote person-centred, recovery-focused approaches to wellbeing.
Support assessments, new placements and safe transitions.
Maintain quality and governance via audits and service improvement plans.
Shape staffing, service development and improvement decisions.
Monitor budgets and use resources effectively.
Participate in on-call rota and night checks when required.
