Job summary

Hft, a leading social care provider, is seeking a Deputy Service Manager for Coleford to lead a team delivering person-centred support for adults with learning disabilities. You will work with the Service Manager across four flats, ensuring safe, respectful care and community integration.

You will guide staff, promote dignity and independence, and build strong relationships with families and external partners. DBS/background checks are required.

Qualifications

• Experience managing supported living services for learning disabled adults.
• Level 4 Lead Practitioner Diploma in Adult Care or Level 3 with development plan.
• Strong leadership and ability to mentor teams.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Spend at least 20% of time on shift supporting the team and mentoring.
• Lead by example to promote kindness and person-centred values.
• Coordinate and oversee person-centred support across services.
• Keep services safe, compliant and focused on positive outcomes.
• Observe and provide constructive feedback for improvement.
• Develop and support team members to build confidence and skills.
• Build relationships with families, carers, partners and external agencies.
• Support Service Manager and participate in on-call rota and other services as needed.
