Job description

Purpose of Role:
To support the SENDCO in leading inclusive, high-quality SEND provision across the school developing curriculum, managing EHCP processes, leading teaching interventions, and supporting staff, students, and families.

Fulltime
Mon - Friday
ASAP/September start

Key Responsibilities: Inclusion & Student Support
  • Champion high expectations and outcomes for students with SEND
Curriculum & Teaching
  • Work with curriculum leaders to ensure quality of inclusive teaching at KS3/4.
  • Identify and promote effective SEND teaching strategies and monitor differentiation
Parents & Partnerships
  • Liaise with external agencies, feeder schools, and parents.
  • Work closely with families to support behavior and learning plans.
Leadership & Management
  • Assist in building and maintaining a skilled, cohesive SEND team.
  • Support strategic leadership in SEND provision, curriculum design, and staff training.
Person Specification: Essential:
  • Possess a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education), demonstrating your commitment to excellence in the field of education.
  • Strong communication, time management, and team leadership skills.
